Few countries in the world possess such a wealth and variety of ancient legends and fascinating attractions as Ethiopia, a land of timeless mysteries with breathtaking scenery, rugged and majestic mountains, exotic flora, fauna (known for numerous endemic birds, mammals and plant species) and pristine cultural diversity maintained by perpetual history.
Ethiopia occupies most of the Horn of Africa. The country covers approximately 1,127,127 square kilometers and shares frontiers with Eritrea, Sudan, Kenya, Somalia, and Djibouti. The major physiographic features are a massive highland complex of mountains and plateaus divided by the Great Rift Valley and surrounded by lowlands along the periphery. The diversity of the terrain is fundamental to regional variations in climate, natural vegetation, soil composition, and settlement patterns.
Ethiopia has a pretty pleasant climate all year round. Although Ethiopia is relatively close to the equator, the central plateau has a temperate climate with an average annual temperature of 16°C (60°F). Only in the east, towards the Red Sea, and in the west, near Sudan, does it get very hot. The main rainy season occurs between mid-June and the end of September, and there's also a bit of light rain in March and April.
Timeless Ethiopia Tour opens the perfect gateway to this land of timeless mysteries ... Seeing is believing!
