How to become a member?

Gondwana DMC's network is focussing exclusively at Africa, Asia, the Middle East and Latin America including some of the most challenging destinations.

 

In order to ensure the highest standards in our network, DMC applying for membership must fulfil following criteria:

  • The DMC must be Owner Managed and have been in business for a minimum of 5 years
  • The DMC must provide a copy of the Company Registration documents including all licensing required for trading as an inbound travel operator in their destination country.
  • Proof of a Professional Liability Insurance to the standards required in Europe and North America.
  • The DMC must provide at least 3 written reference letters from clients and suppliers respectively, all relating to services provided during the last 2 years.
  • The sound financial standing of the DMC must be guaranteed in writing by both their main banker and their auditors.
  • Provide a number of sample programs both for FIT, special interest groups and M.I.C.E. events handled in the recent past.

In addition to the above criteria, membership with Gondwana DMC's is subject to the adhesion to:

  • Gondwana DMC's Ethical Chart and Philosophy
  • Gondwana DMC's Quality Chart
  • Gondwana DMC's Green Chart

Financial requirements for memership include:

  • A once-off administrative set-up and joining fee
  • The monthly contribution to the Collective Marketing budget as elected by the DMC Members
  • A performance based fee in favor of the Sales Representatives
